The walleye bite has been good for most of the winter so far. White, pink, and gold Northland Tackle "Buckshot" spoons have been the ticket for the more aggressive fish. But for the finicky fish, a plain red hook tipped with a fathead or rainbow has been a reliable option! 12-14 feet of water seems to be the best right now for number, and shallower water seems to be better for bigger fish. Other species like, crappie, perch, and pike have been showing up a little bit more frequently, which anglers have been excited about!
