Fishing in the Bemidji Area 8/2/2025
The Walleye bite has remained solid throughout the summer. Walleye are hanging around weed lines in 10-15ft as well as deeper mud flats. Pulling Leeches and Crawlers, Slip Bobber, and Jigging Raps have all proven to be effective. Bass can be found in cover such as reeds and lily pads as well on weed lines in 10-15ft. Try a soft plastic during mid-day and a topwater for morning and evening bites. Panfish are hanging around thick Cabbage and in deeper mudflats. Bettle spins have been good as well as live bait under a bobber.
